Custom Electric Guitar

Hand made guitar made from Swamp Ash and Maple. 

Having been playing guitar for over 15 years, I decided in 2015 it was about time to finally design and build my own. So, for a final year E.P.Q at College and as a project for the summer before starting at Loughborough, I produced a fully functioning electric guitar. Because of my passion for the guitar as much care was taken as possible to produce a functioning, beautiful instrument. It has now been played on stage in front of hundreds of people on multiple occasions with my band and takes pride of place next to my amplifier.

Stringed instruments rely on some fundamental principles to work, some of which involve very fine tolerances. This meant researching and working to a level of detail that was new to me. This resulted in an enormous learning curve. It introduced me to new tools and processes including routing, soldering and applying finishes. Project management also played a large part forcing me to develop how I would go about the design and build process.
